This NOOR JEHAN is a hand opening, not closing.
The empress it takes its name from is remembered with a bird on her fist — held, trained, hers. Here the bird is leaving, and the blossom around her is in full flower.
The composition is a fusion: Mughal court figuration meeting Japanese cherry blossom. Two ornamental traditions that never shared a canvas, drawn into one.
Held, then let go.

Crafted from imported cotton, this shirt carries a relaxed, boxy structure with an open camp collar that sits flat and unstructured. The cut is built to drape rather than hold shape, worn open or buttoned.
The artwork draws from Mughal court imagery; a woman releasing a bird — set against cherry blossom branches in flower. Chenille embroidery combines with fine thread work to build depth across the composition. Built with over [stitch count] stitches and roughly 13 hours of embroidery per piece, every element is designed to feel dimensional rather than printed flat.
To improve comfort, a reinforced internal fusing layer is placed behind the embroidery, reducing irritation and keeping the piece wearable despite the dense stitchwork.
Hard collar ensuring it maintains structure.
Hand sewn imported metal buckles which make sure to maintain silhouette.
Original Artwork with Faani written in Urdu in the branches.
