Faani Meadows

Faani Meadows is inspired by Fairy Meadows — a place that feels almost detached from the world around it.

High in the mountains, surrounded by open meadows and the vast presence of Nanga Parbat, everything seems to slow down. The noise disappears. Time feels temporary. For a moment, you are somewhere that doesn't feel entirely real.

The embroidery on the piece draws from this feeling of wandering into an untouched world; a landscape that exists somewhere between memory, imagination and reality.

The name Faani comes from the idea of fanaa — that everything is fleeting. Even the most beautiful places, moments and feelings eventually pass.

So Faani Meadows isn't simply about Fairy Meadows. It's about the feeling of finding a place you wish you could stay in forever, knowing you can't.

Built on 15 oz black denim with a straight, relaxed leg — heavyweight enough to carry embroidery at this density without collapsing under it.

Over 10,00,000 (1 MILLION) stitches and 21 hours of embroidery across both front leg panels, worked in twelve thread colours. Dense satin fill throughout: the peak in tonal greys, the meadow in layered greens with directional stitch lines, the river in blues over white, the figures and animals in graded reds and pinks. The black denim is left exposed as sky and as shadow between the ridges, so the base cloth works as part of the composition rather than sitting behind it.

Front rivets at the pockets and panel. A reinforced internal fusing layer sits behind the embroidered panels, keeping the leg wearable despite the density of the stitchwork.
